Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required. License: Must have appropriate state license in hand or pending. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Candidate must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms. Must have completed at least one travel assignment. Previous charge experience is preferred. Description: The position requires a minimum of two years of experience in an IMC, PCU, or Medical Surgical float pool. The nurse will be required to float between IMC and medical units and occasionally take medicine and IMC level boarders if needed. Ratios include 1:4 for IMC and 1:5-6 for medical/surgical units. The facility consists of a 15-bed IMC unit, a 44-bed medical/surgical unit, and a 34-bed telemetry unit. Staffing will include weekends and holidays as needed by the facility. Scrubs must be provided by the nurse and should be in Caribbean blue color. The clinician is expected to manage various responsibilities, including the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry, and medication administration. This role requires the utilization of isolation precautions and personal protective equipment. The responsibilities of the nurse include accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and providing care for patients with conditions like CVA and renal failure. Candidates should be comfortable collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Travel experience is necessary for consideration. No requested time off is permitted during the first two weeks of employment. A maximum of seven days of requested time off is allowed for the duration of the contract. Candidates must possess strong critical thinking and decision-making skills to provide high-quality patient care. Compliance with facility-specific training modules is required within designated timeframes. Maintaining effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team is essential. All policies related to immunizations must be followed.
