Payroll Manager

PAYROLL MANAGER LOCATION Dallas, TX | Hybrid — 3 days onsite / 2 days remote 8am-5pm COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE • $25/hour • Temp-to-hire • Paid parking provided • Access to onsite gym at no cost ROLE IMPACT Oversee end-to-end payroll operations to ensure employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable payroll regulations and policies. This role manages sensitive payroll information, resolves complex discrepancies, supports audits, and strengthens payroll processes and internal controls. The position is contract-to-hire and is intended to support long-term payroll continuity. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage the complete payroll cycle, including timesheets, deductions, adjustments, new hires, terminations, pay changes, leave adjustments, taxes, benefits, and employee updates. • Reconcile payroll reports, deductions, taxes, and benefit-related transactions while researching and resolving discrepancies and payment issues. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll requirements and maintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentation. • Partner with Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, leadership, auditors, and other stakeholders on payroll matters and reporting. • Review payroll procedures and recommend improvements that increase accuracy, efficiency, internal controls, and employee service while maintaining strict confidentiality. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Previous payroll management or senior-level payroll experience managing a complete payroll cycle in a deadline-driven environment. • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, payroll taxes, wage and hour requirements, deductions, reconciliations, and payroll compliance. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with payroll or Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), with strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and confidentiality skills.
