About the Role
This is a hands-on HR leadership role for a growing multi-site healthcare provider operating in home health, home care, and hospice. The HR and Payroll Manager supports compliance, employee relations, payroll, benefits, recruitment, onboarding, HR systems, and confidential employee records across multiple locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Full-time, exempt, on-site with multi-site support across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Compensation
$80,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience.
What You'll Do
The HR and Payroll Manager supports compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare program requirements, and maintains audit readiness through employee-file reviews, credentialing support, background checks, and exclusion and sanction screening. This person maintains and supports HR policies to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and operational needs, and guides managers and employees through employee relations matters, coaching, workplace concerns, investigations, and conflict resolution.
On the payroll and compensation side, this role leads full-cycle payroll, timekeeping, wage calculations, audits, benefits administration, invoice reconciliation, and leave, COBRA, and ACA support, along with compensation-related reporting. The HR and Payroll Manager maintains and optimizes HRIS and payroll systems, including ADP, coordinating HR data with healthcare operating platforms and leadership reporting as needed, and handles sensitive employee, compliance, payroll, and benefits records with discretion.
The role also supports workforce planning and recruiting strategy, including job postings, onboarding, credential verification, hiring compliance, and efforts to improve time-to-fill and early new-hire retention.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience with compliance, employee relations, payroll, and benefits administration
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and employment law
- Experience supporting multi-site settings within home health, home care, and/or hospice
- Proficiency with ADP and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites and work independently
- Valid Texas driver's license and good driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience training and coaching leaders and staff at multiple levels
