CNC Lathe MachinistAs a CNC Lathe Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts. This role involves programming machines, ensuring precision machining, and maintaining quality control standards.ResponsibilitiesLoad raw materials, set up machinery, and configure tools for optimal operation.Program or load instructions into machines using G&M codes to determine cutting paths, speed, and feed rates.Utilize mills, lathes, and grinders to cut, turn, and shape parts in accordance with engineering specifications.Inspect finished products using precision tools like micrometers and calipers to ensure quality standards are met.Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot any machine malfunctions.Adhere to safety protocols and document production logs while maintaining a clean work area.Essential SkillsProficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T.Experience in setting up and operating CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines.Strong knowledge of G-code fundamentals and CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or SolidCAM.Ability to machine a wide range of materials including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, plastics, tool steels, and exotic alloys.Experience with manual machining using mills and lathes for custom or repair work.Why Work Here?Join a family-owned and operated company that offers a clean, climate-controlled facility with new equipment. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
