Job Description:

Join Cayuga Addiction Recovery Services at our Mens Residence location, providing essential nursing care to support individuals in their recovery journey. You will work in a dynamic environment, rotating through day, night, and weekend shifts to ensure 24-hour accountability for quality care. Responsibilities include conducting physical and mental health assessments, administering and monitoring treatment regimens, administering prescribed medications, observing behavioral changes, maintaining control of medications, triaging emergent medical issues, and coordinating care with medical staff and outside providers. You will record all care accurately and concisely, and support compliance with OASAS/Medicaid regulations. This role involves direct care provided by licensed practical nurses with an emphasis on respecting cultural and religious practices of patients.


Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintain 24-hour accountability for quality of care of clients.
• Complete physical and mental health assessments, including vital signs, risk assessments, and withdrawal assessments (COWS) as per Part 820 regulations.
• Administer and monitor treatment regimens.
• Administer prescribed medications.
• Observe and report behavioral changes.
• Maintain control and documentation of drugs and medications.
• Triage emergency medical issues and coordinate with nursing staff, PA, NP, Medical Director, and external providers.
• Record care information accurately and timely.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on the setting.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support quality assessment, assurance, and performance improvement activities.

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• BLS Certification.
• Successful completion of CPI training within 3 months of hire.
• Successful completion of medication competency exam.

Hourly Pay Rate: $56.95
