Job DescriptionElite Dental Wellness has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Front Office Dental Administrative Position. This role is the heart of our dental practice and is not a remote job. We are seeking a high-energy, friendly, and experienced professional who will serve as the first point of contact for our patients. In this position, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone of our friendly and nurturing environment, ensuring that all patients feel welcomed and valued from the moment they step into our practice.
As the primary Patient Care Coordinator, your role will involve a high level of multitasking within our fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have prior experience using dental practice management software, specifically Open Dental, and should be capable of managing multiple phone lines efficiently. This position requires someone who can take initiative and thrive in a dynamic workspace, focusing on providing superior patient care and supporting our dental team's workflow seamlessly.
Duties and Responsibilities- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments using Open Dental software.
- Answer multiple phone lines, manage calls, and respond to patient inquiries timely.
- Maintain orderly and accurate patient records within the practice management software.
- Confirm upcoming appointments and recalls to minimize no-show rates.
- Process billing and verify patient insurance and payment transactions.
- Collaborate with dental staff to manage daily operations smoothly.
- Handle patient complaints with professionalism and resolve issues promptly.
- Engage in ongoing training to stay updated on new tools, software, and best practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized front office area to uphold our practice’s image.
- Proven experience as a Front Office Administrator in a dental practice environment.
- Experience in using Open Dental software and managing multiple phone lines.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact positively with patients and team members.
- High school diploma required; further education in Administrative duties will be considered an advantage.
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping and billing procedures.
- Comprehensive knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and supporting patient care.
