As a Baton-Rouge based, family-owned and operated provider of quality in-home care, we seek out and train the finest caregivers to provide the high-quality level of care we deliver to our clients.Many people looking to begin a career in caregiving or looking to be promoted often wonder, "What caregiver skills will set me up for success?" In addition to a natural ability to empathize with others and a caring, pure heart, there are many additional skills and qualities that are either inherent, learned, or can be achieved through training.You've come to the right place if you are looking to build an amazing, rewarding career as an in-home caregiver. DEMENTIA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!Job BriefWe are looking for a loving and compassionate caregiver to care for our clients in a professional manner. The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients.Caregiver* 10 years of documented care giving experience required* Assisting clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)* Assisting clients with personal care and hygieneRequirements* Reliable transportation to transport clients in* Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints* Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards* Respectful and compassionate* Good time management skills* Ability to clock in and out and complete care notes on a smart phone* Ability to climb one flight of stairs* Ability to lift 10lbs.* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills* Strong ethics* Physical endurance* High school diploma or equivalentBenefits* Competitive Pay* Flexible Schedules* Paid Overtime* 10 Holidays paid at 1.5x regular rate* Monthly Incentive Programs to win PAID TIME OFF!Alternate Terms: DSW, Caregiver, Personal Care Aide, Private Caregiver, Personal Care Aide
