Chiller Technician

HVAC, Refrigeration, Plumbing, and Mechanical Maintenance TechnicianThe ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing and installing HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and mechanical components/equipment. Maintaining the safe operation of highly complex systems and equipment. Specific systems may include: electronic/pneumatic, environmental controls, fan powered boxes and auxiliary equipment (various pumps, heat exchangers, air compressors, etc. Work with BAS controls, chiller operations, pump operations, water treatment programs, air handler units, and VAV's.Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Conducts inspections, maintenance, repairs, and service on a variety of chiller systems, including air-cooled, water-cooled, and centrifugal chillers.Operates, troubleshoots, and maintains complex chiller equipment while diagnosing and resolving mechanical and operational issues.Advanced technical knowledge in performing complete equipment overhauls, system evaluations, and root-cause diagnostics.Skilled in diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC and mechanical equipment, including:Air-cooled chillers (reciprocating, screw, and scroll) up to 100 tonsLarge water-cooled chiller systemsCooling towersPumps and pumping systemsAir compressorsCompressed air dryersVariable Air Volume (VAV) boxesVariable Frequency Drives (VFD)Air handling units (AHU)Knowledge, Skill and Ability:Must be able to read blueprints and as-built drawings.Be able to solve problemsPlan work and select proper tools.Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.Compare and see differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objectsHeadquartered in Conyers, Georgia, Batchelor & Kimball takes pride in partnering with our clients to deliver excellent results from engineering and construction to operations and maintenance.
