US Senior Compliance Officer (L3) (MJ000035)

This role is responsible for leading complex investigations, driving consistent escalation decisions, supporting SAR governance, policy upkeep and development, and partnering cross-functionally to enhance transaction monitoring, KYC/EDD, and AML controls. The ideal candidate brings strong investigative judgment, excellent writing skills, and deep knowledge of AML regulatory expectations in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Lead and oversee complex AML investigations, including high-risk and time-sensitive escalations. Review and disposition transaction monitoring alerts and investigator work product for quality, consistency, and regulatory defensibility. Identify suspicious activity and recommend escalation to SAR filing, account restriction, or exit decisions. Draft and/or quality review Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and strong narratives. Provide guidance and mentoring to AML analysts and investigators; support training and development. Partner with Compliance, Fraud, Operations, Product, and Engineering to enhance: Transaction monitoring scenarios and tuning Risk-based alert triage workflows Data quality and coverage Support AML program governance activities, including: Metrics and reporting (KPIs/KRIs) Exam and audit readiness Issue management and remediation Contribute to periodic AML risk assessments and updates to policies and procedures. Assist with law enforcement requests, subpoenas, 314(a) searches, and 314(b) information sharing (as applicable). Manage regulatory reporting through NMLS. Qualifications 5+ years of AML/BSA experience in financial services, fintech, MSB, payments, or related regulated environments. Strong knowledge of: BSA/AML requirements SAR/CTR obligations Transaction monitoring frameworks Demonstrated experience conducting and documenting investigations with clear, regulator-ready narratives. Strong analytical skills and ability to identify suspicious patterns across complex transaction flows. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams. Preferred Qualifications CAMS certification (or equivalent) Experience working with transaction monitoring and case tools such as: Experience supporting regulatory exams, audits, and remediation efforts.
