General Maintenance Technician

Mystic Seaport Museum

General MaintainerResponsible for completing maintenance requests and repairs to upkeep the Mystic Seaport Museum.This position duties shall include:Perform routine maintenance and general carpentry on buildings.Performs interior and exterior paintingUse power tools and other equipment for building and grounds maintenancePerform various groundskeeping maintenancePerform set-up and breakdown services for special events. Such services may include delivery and erection of tents; and delivery and set-up of tables and chairsProvide manual labor support to other Facilities Management as assigned.Winter Operations support during snow removalTrash collectionGutter cleaningQualificationsPossess a valid driver's licenseBe capable of lifting 75 poundsBe able to perform work from a ladderMust be able to work outside in inclement weather both cold and hotSkills using power tools and equipment desired
