Substitute Custodian

As a substitute with the San Luis Coastal Unified School District you will have the opportunity to pursue day-to-day and/or long-term assignments as they become available. Assignments are in-person, and may be at school sites in San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, or Los Osos. Most custodial sub opportunities are for night shifts, 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break. This is an on-call position to work as a school custodian, cleaning school sites. Shifts are typically eight-hour evening shifts in Los Osos, Morro Bay and/or San Luis Obispo. Candidates must pass a fingerprint clearance, TB test and physical prior to being placed in sub assignments. Please note that substitute assignments do not provide any guarantee of daily work.

Candidates must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, physical, and TB test. Most sub assignments are night shifts, from 3:00 p.m.- 11:30 p.m. Sub assignments are offered on an on-call basis, and the location of the assignment options will vary (SLO, Los Osos, and Morro Bay).
