Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Dialysis Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (09:00 - 21:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty required License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Unit accepts first-time travelers - Call requirements: 1-2 Saturdays and 1 Sunday a month - RTO: Maximum 7 days - Required to work every other weekend Description: The unit operates with a patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics. The unit system includes various automated medication management and electronic health record systems. Travelers are expected to comply fully with onboarding requirements to start on time. If there are major holidays within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work. Compliance documents are required before the start date. Travelers should be prepared to complete non-billable modules during orientation. The unit emphasizes teamwork with various interdisciplinary support teams. Daily patient census averages 24 patients. The unit handles patients with end-stage renal disease and acute kidney injury. Training will be provided on specialized dialysis equipment used in the unit. Weekend coverage is mandatory every other weekend. Travelers must have experience with specified patient care protocols and charting systems.
