Front Desk Coordinator

About the Role The Front Desk Coordinator is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, welcoming and efficiently guiding them through the healthcare setting. The role involves managing patient appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining accurate patient records to support smooth clinical operations. Effective communication and organization are essential to coordinate between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff, contributing to overall patient satisfaction and operational efficiency. We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Full Time Front Desk Coordinator at Monmouth Gastroenterology in Oakhurst, NJ. Primary Responsibilities Greet and check in patients while ensuring all required documentation is completed. Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and identification. Collect copays, balances, and other payments at the time of service. Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, relay messages, and assist patients with inquiries. Maintain and organize patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Reconcile daily payments and assist with administrative duties as assigned. Support management with special projects and operational needs. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years of medical office experience required. Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR). Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Excellent computer and data entry skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in both patient registration and appointment scheduling preferred. Experience with insurance verification and billing processes. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards. Additional training in customer service or office management.
