Maintenance MechanicDirect hire: A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join a dynamic team. Working location: Madison, WI. Pay: $23.00 - $27.00/hr. Shift: 2nd Monday - Friday 5PM - 1AM. Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K with company match, PTO, paid holidays.Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair electrical faults in three-phase power systems and control circuits to minimize equipment downtimeInspect, replace, and maintain gaskets and other mechanical components to ensure optimal machine performance and safetyClimb ladders and access elevated equipment safely to conduct inspections, repairs, and installations as requiredCollaborate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities and respond promptly to emergency repair needsMaintain accurate maintenance records and report on equipment status, repairs, and parts inventoryAdhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements while performing maintenance tasksWork overtime as needed to support continuous manufacturing operations and meet production deadlinesRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent with completion of an electrical maintenance apprenticeship or technical training programProven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or commercial laundry environment with 24/7 operationsStrong knowledge of three-phase electrical systems, motor controls, and industrial electrical componentsAbility to safely operate forklifts, previous certifications helpful but not required. We offer training & certificationExperience working with three-phase electrical systems requiredAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical blueprintsPhysical ability to stand/walk for long periods of time, climb ladders, lift heavy equipment, and work in confined spaces safelyDesired Skills:Experience working with gasket installation & replacementFamiliarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Experience working with conveyor systems and industrial pumps in a manufacturing settingFamiliarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automated control systemsKnowledge of mechanical systems maintenance including gasket replacement and alignment proceduresDemonstrated ability to work flexible hours including overtime to support production needsBasic welding or fabrication skills
