About the Position

Job Title

Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – Nights & Every Other Weekend (36 hrs.)

Contract | Full-Time | Night Shift | Onsite | 36 hours per week | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 41-bed Medical Telemetry unit serving a diverse patient population including cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use disorder, GU, and GI patients
• Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry strips to identify and respond to cardiac rhythm changes
• Manage cardiac drips and administer medications in accordance with unit protocols
• Operate and monitor high-flow oxygen delivery systems and TR bands
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC electronic medical records system
• Float to applicable units as needed based on census and staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• AHA-certified Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a single Medical/Surgical Telemetry setting
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a travel nurse
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Proficiency with cardiac telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, TR bands, and high-flow oxygen

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with EPIC EMR charting system
• Experience caring for patients with psychiatric or substance use disorder diagnoses in an acute care setting
