About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant for a full-time locum tenens Gastroenterology role supporting an adult patient population in an acute care hospital setting. The provider will evaluate and manage patients with a variety of gastrointestinal and internal medicine conditions, provide patient education, coordinate specialty consults, and document care in accordance with regulatory and quality standards. Average patient ratios range from 1:14 to 1:18. Epic EMR is utilized for charting, and all orientation hours are payable.

Shift Details:

• Day shift coverage, Monday–Friday
• Clinical evaluation, follow-up care, documentation, and coordination with GI and internal medicine teams
• No call responsibilities
• No floating requirements

Coverage Dates / Schedule:

• Full-time weekday coverage
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Consistent schedule with no weekends

Requirements

Licensed Physician Assistant (PA)
Active New York license required
Minimum of 3 years of recent gastroenterology or relevant internal medicine experience
BLS certification required
Epic EMR experience required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Up-to-date work history with no gaps over 30 days
Physician statement required for any malpractice history
