Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (HVTI)

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Onsite | Days/Nights Rotating | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30 / 19:00–7:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/HVTI unit with potential to float to additional units caring for the same patient population
• Perform continuous ECG rhythm recognition and monitoring as part of routine patient assessment
• Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in rotating holiday coverage, working at least every other holiday
• Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate with an acceptable passing score

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or HVTI specialty
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• Active NIHSS certification required — must be in hand at time of submission
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required; co-worker references will not be accepted
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single facility or location for the required specialty year preferred
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and medication safety assessment tools
• Prior travel nursing experience in a large academic or high-acuity hospital setting
