Work Environment

This position will be conducted onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Facility located in the scenic North Fort Myers area. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Life Point, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine their physical therapy needs.
• Developing and implementing customized treatment plans aimed at restoring function, improving mobility, and alleviating discomfort.
• Utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities, to facilitate patient recovery.
• Documenting patient progress and responding to prescribed modifications in treatment as necessary, all while adhering to regulatory and organizational policies.
• Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary team members, including occupational therapists and athletic trainers, to maximize patient outcomes.
• Providing education and training to patients and their caregivers to empower them in managing their health and engaging in their rehabilitation process.
• Maintaining strong customer service and communication standards, ensuring a welcoming environment for every patient that contributes to their overall experience and results.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your practice will be on patients with orthopedic conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. You may also encounter pediatric and neurologic patients, providing a rich diversity in your therapeutic engagements. Your role is critical in fostering a supportive recovery environment that motivates patients to reach their physical goals, maintaining an emphasis on educational health and wellness throughout their treatment journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly preferred.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy is essential.
• Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in utilizing word processing and other relevant computer applications to maintain patient records.
• A strong commitment to building relationships with patients and their families, enhancing their therapy experience by exceeding their functional goals.
• A genuine desire to connect with individuals across diverse backgrounds and foster community relationships.

Preferred Experience

Experience in treating orthopedic, sports medicine, or pediatric patients is preferred, alongside familiarity with evidence-based practices in physical therapy. Knowledge or experience in patient management, therapy outcome measurement, and community outreach programs will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, you will also enjoy a robust benefits package that includes:
