Senior Director, Field Platforms Location: Morristown, NJ / Cambridge, MA About the Job Ready to push the limits of what’s possible? The Team The Senior Director, Field Platforms leads the Field Platforms Team within NA Customer Facing Operations, serves as Business Owner of Sanofi’s commercial CRM ecosystem (OneCRM, VeevaAlign, Smart CLM, Rep‑Triggered Email, Events & Congresses) across Specialty Care, General Medicines, and Vaccines. This role drives platform strategy, field adoption, and team development while embedding AI‑powered tools and automation to accelerate delivery and improve commercial outcomes. Role Overview This position is a future‑forward, AI‑fluent leader who combines deep technical expertise with strategic vision to personalise the customer journey, elevate field CRM capabilities, and drive commercial innovation. The Field Platforms Team, part of the broader NA Customer Facing Operations team, is focused on enabling customer‑facing teams to drive growth through fit‑for‑purpose, innovative, user‑friendly technology platforms. The Field Platforms Team strives to support the customer‑facing teams by delivering innovative technology capabilities and easy‑to‑use solutions that bring real value and impact to the organisation. The Field Platforms is the Business Owner of the following commercial team platforms: OneCRM including Events and Congresses, Rep‑Triggered‑Email, Smart CLM, VeevaAlign. Job Highlights This position will lead the Field Platforms Team and manage the corresponding relationship with the field and brand management teams for all North America BUs (Specialty Care, General Medicines and Vaccines). This position is a critical team leader, with a technical and operational background, supporting our ambition for personalising the customer journey through sales‑force effective activities, and managing the field CRM experience, capabilities, and customisations. The Senior Director of Field Platforms will report to the NA Customer Facing Pillar Head. In addition to responsibility for the Platforms, the team is responsible to drive user adoption through a thorough training and communications roadmap, coordinated with the broader new hire and continuous learning plans of each BU. Main Responsibilities Utilise technical expertise to drive simplification and harmonisation of the integration of one instance of Veeva in the US across Gen Meds, Specialty Care and Vaccines, partnering with Global OneCRM to leverage core functionality while advocating and delivering US‑specific needs. Partner with Digital, Global, Vaccines, and Specialty Care to drive the integration of the Events Harmonisation Volcano Project. Utilise technical expertise of Veeva to ensure smooth delivery of harmonised process and tools. Develop technical specifications and business rules to advance system capabilities and innovation, and drive field efficiencies. Prioritise digital projects on the team to ensure roll‑out of system enhancements, upgrades and new capabilities for the field, market access and relevant medical field personnel. Drive platform adoption through leading‑edge, practical training and communications that are rooted in the field team’s daily workflow and integrated into their broader learning curriculum. Develop and Coach Field Platforms (17) Team members: Continually strengthen and upgrade capabilities to meet and exceed goals. Provide appropriate training and hands‑on experience to develop the team. Develop business subject‑matter experts for deployment and IC for key brands/franchises and sales teams to anticipate needs and recommend solutions. Support employees’ Individual Development Plans (IDPs). Develop metrics and meaningful KPIs, and generate reports where available. About You Experience / Education / Skills / Certification 10+ years of experience in Biotechnology or Pharmaceuticals; Undergraduate degree, MBA preferred. Veeva certification a plus. Experience leading and developing diverse teams across multiple functions; Demonstrated leadership ability to drive change within an organisation, cultivating support and maximising contribution from team members. Demonstrated success in leading field operations or field technology work, with 5+ years in one or both areas preferred and a preference for experience in launching new systems. Experienced in leading by influence and driving in matrix project teams and organisational set‑ups. Project management: ensure the correct pace of the acceleration. Proven delivery of outstanding results. Ability to leverage networks, develop people, coach and give feedback, empower people. Ability to lead change while achieving business goals and objectives, act for change, challenging continuously the status quo. High persistency and resilience. Business – Ability to prioritise; Financial and Development acumen; Robust understanding of pharmaceutical products demand‑generation mechanisms; Over‑achievement against set objectives; Ability to work on their own initiative and make quality decisions; Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate, present, persuade and argument among all BU teams and partners.
