Quick Facts: Location: Springfield, OH (100 Medical Center Drive) Start Date: 05/28/2026 End Date: Ongoing (at least 2 months; sporadic coverage thereafter) Shift: 7a – 7p, or as per facility needs Hours per Week: Flexible, based on coverage needs Employment Type: Contract / Locum Licensure/Certifications: Ohio medical license; board certification in surgery Experience Required: Prior cardiothoracic surgical experience preferred Pay & Benefits: Hourly Pay Rate: $19.50/hour Pay Package: Paid weekly via direct deposit Benefits: Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), paid sick time in accordance with laws, licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Additional Perks: Robust referral bonus program, 24/7 dedicated team support What You'll Do: Provide comprehensive adult cardiothoracic and vascular surgical care Perform procedures such as coronary artery bypass, valve repairs/replacements, aneurysm repairs, lung resections (including VATs), and chest wall/pleural surgeries Manage congenital defects and perform endarterectomy procedures Conduct ventilation management and bronchoscopy Evaluate and manage acute blood pressure and ventilation issues Collaborate with hospital staff, documenting care efficiently within EPIC system Cover emergency surgical call as needed What You Need: Current Ohio medical license and board certification in surgery Proven experience in CV/Thoracic/Vascular surgeries Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication Ability to work independently and handle coverage needs flexibly About the Assignment: Join a full-service, acute care hospital with 250 beds and 60 ICU beds, providing essential surgical services across a variety of complex cases.
