Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Certified Phlebotomists to support the Reno VA Medical Center at 975 Kirman Ave, Reno, NV 89502. Services will be delivered to all departments throughout the facility on a range of shift schedules. Responsibilities Venipuncture and specimen collection Specimen processing and packaging Floor draws and draw station operations Compliance with safety, infection control, and Joint Commission standards Customer service and patient interaction Documentation and record accuracy Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency (e.g., CPT License or Diploma) Completion of an approved phlebotomy training course (or equivalent) American Heart Association (AHA) CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years as a patient service technician/phlebotomist Proficiency in blood collection by venipuncture and capillary technique from patients of all age groups, urine drug screen collections, paternity collections, breath/saliva alcohol testing, LCM/Cyber Tools, TestCup, pediatric blood collections, and difficult draws No sponsorship available Physical Requirements Be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist Lift up to 20 lbs (body weight) Carry up to 40 lbs over a reasonable distance Push or pull with 30 lbs of force All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. #J-18808-Ljbffr
