Equipment operator

BHI Energy is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to be based at the Sutton Steam Plant in Wilmington, NC. This is a local hire position and will not pay relocation fees. The role will require traveling to other plants for maintenance; you will be eligible to receive per‑diem when traveling away from the Home Base. Key responsibilities include operating Bull Dozers, Excavators, Front End Loaders, Vibratory Roller, Skid Steer, Mini Ex, and performing related heavy equipment operations. You will report onsite to the plant in Wilmington, NC and to the Site Manager. Requirements: minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operating experience; dirt work experience and ability to read blueprints is a plus; must be at least 18 years old; high school diploma, GED or equivalent; pass drug test and security background check. Compensation: estimated $27 per hour, dependent on experience, qualifications and skills. Benefits include medical, dental, vacation, and advancement opportunities.
