Commercial Roofing Service Manager

Nashville, TN | $80,000–$90,000 Base

A well-established commercial roofing contractor in Nashville is looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Service Manager to take ownership of its service department.

This is more than a scheduling or estimating position. The right person will be responsible for the overall service operation, including the team, customers, estimating, scheduling, profitability and growth of the department.

The Role

You'll oversee the day-to-day operation of the commercial roofing service department and work closely with both the field and office teams.

Responsibilities will include:

• Lead and support a service team of approximately 10 people
• Manage daily scheduling and communication with field crews and office staff
• Review service tickets, inspections, estimates, scopes, proposals and invoices
• Estimate and issue proposals for commercial roofing service and repair work
• Manage service projects from initial customer request through completion and billing
• Monitor labor, materials and job profitability
• Meet with building owners, property managers, contractors and existing customers
• Develop new business and grow existing service accounts
• Build and execute a sales plan for the service department
• Make sure customers receive timely communication and strong service
• Assist with hiring, training and development of service employees
• Review field performance and identify training needs
• Work closely with operations and other departments
• Assist with collections on service-related accounts when required
• Track departmental performance and report monthly financial results to leadership
• Keep safety, quality and profitability at the forefront of the department

What They're Looking For

This role needs someone who understands commercial roofing and the business side of running a service department .

Ideally, you'll bring:

• 3+ years of commercial roofing, construction or related experience
• Knowledge of commercial roofing systems, repairs and maintenance
• Experience selling and estimating service work
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and contract documents
• Experience managing customer accounts and developing new business
• Previous leadership or team management experience
• Understanding of labor, materials, budgets and job profitability
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities
• Comfortable working directly with building owners, property managers and contractors
• Good computer skills and experience with CRM systems and Microsoft applications
• Strong communication and follow-through
