• Assist with specimen collection and ensure proper sample preparation for testing purposes.
• Thoroughly document all procedures, provide training to new staff or students, and strive to meet laboratory quality benchmarks.
• Maintain a tidy, secure workspace while complying with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent allied health qualification plus preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certification Requirements

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of hiring.
• Candidates must maintain current certification throughout their employment.
