Supply Chain SpecialistScheels Company Goals:We strive to be the best retailer in the USA in the eyes and minds of our customers, associates, and business partners.Overview:Scheels operates a growing warehouse network of four facilities totaling 750,000 square feet, a mix of Scheels-run and third-party logistics (3PL) operated facilities, all running on Scheels systems and technology. These facilities cross-dock cartons and pallets, receive inventory, and hold and organize products for store replenishment and E-Commerce fulfillment.The Supply Chain Specialist supports the daily execution of this network. This position serves as the primary Scheels point of contact for one of our facilities, making sure the systems are operational, purchase orders are set up correctly, the teams know the plan ahead of time, and the follow-up happens to confirm it's getting done. This position teaches teams how to use our systems, sets clear expectations, and supports the inventory management practices that keep our numbers accurate and our product flowing.This position helps guide our facility partners alongside the Warehouse Operations Leader and the broader team, leads weekly meetings to teach and give feedback, and serves as the daily connection point between the facility and the rest of Scheels: buyers, stores, E-Commerce, Logistics, IT, Vendor Compliance, and Accounts Payable.We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys pushing things across the finish line. A strong communicator with a high level of execution, urgency, and follow-through.Responsibilities:Facility OperationsServe as the main Scheels point of contact for an assigned facility, supporting the daily needs of the team on the ground and resolving issues as they arise, including system problems, space concerns, damages, shortages, and vendor returnsHelp manage facility performance and execution alongside the Warehouse Operations Leader and teamLead weekly meetings to teach, set expectations, and provide feedbackSystems & InboundVerify purchase orders are set up correctly and communicate the inbound plan ahead of time, then follow up to confirm executionPartner with IT to troubleshoot and resolve network and system issuesTrack inbound PO flow and scheduling, keeping communication moving between buyers, facilities, and storesInventory & ClaimsSupport inventory accuracy practices: cycle counts, targeted counts, and receiving discrepancy resolutionPartner with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice and claim issuesPartner with Vendor Compliance on damage and shortage claims, working with facility teams to close them outFulfillment & E-CommerceWork with buyers to develop the plan for items before arrival and while inventory is in the facilitySupport store teams on inbound issues such as shortages, damages, ETAs, and tracking open orders, with quick turnaroundResearch and resolve E-Commerce order issues, coordinating with facility teams to keep fulfillment movingMonitor outbound order execution for store fulfillment and E-Commerce, supporting facility teams to keep orders shipping on time and accuratelyRequirements:Customer ServiceGenuinely and consistently treat co-workers, customers and business partners like they are the most important person including eye contact, a smile and a genuine "Thank you"CultureApproach daily tasks, projects and follow-up communication with energy and sense of urgencyCultivate a deep desire to become a knowledge expert in their role with the ability to apply their knowledge and experience with great impact.Show respect and appreciation for others and ScheelsArrive to work and meetings 10 minutes earlyTeam MentalityGenuine interest and action in helping others before yourself, regardless of recognition or rewardTeach-abilityConsistent eagerness to listen, learn, apply knowledge and accept critical feedbackAbility to adapt to a changing work environmentAbility to apply concepts of basic math, grammar, punctuation and spellingDress CodeMeets Scheels dress and grooming expectations in support of professional, clean and welcoming environment for customers, co-workers and business partnersEfficiencyDemonstrate pride and ownership of their work while meeting expected deadlinesEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred2–5 years in supply chain, warehouse operations, logistics, or a related field preferredStrong communicator who can build trust with 3PL partners, vendors, buyers, warehouse teams, and store teamsComfortable learning and working in warehouse management systems; experience with a WMS, EDI, or inventory systems is a plusComfortable in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Gmail) or equivalent programsAbility to travel to facilities (quarterly overnight visits; more frequent day trips if assigned to St. Cloud)Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodationSedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
