Position Title: Technical Program Manager

Expected Duration: 12+ months, possible extension based on business needs

Job Type: Remote

Pay Range: $70/hr. - $75/hr.

Job Summary:

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive end-to-end display algorithm development, validation, and execution for AR/Smart Glasses products.

As a Display Algorithms TPM, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing workflows spanning algorithm development, software implementation, hardware testing, and prototype validation. The role involves working closely with display hardware engineers, software engineers, product managers, system architects, and subsystem TPMs to strategically manage cross-functional programs from development through dogfooding.

This opportunity offers direct collaboration with world-class display, optics, and software development teams to help deliver high-quality visual experiences for next-generation AR/Smart Glasses products.

Responsibilities:

Validation Roadmap & Milestone Planning:

• Define and execute end-to-end validation milestones spanning:

1. Algorithm model development
2. Hardware testing
3. Prototype software validation
4. Production software readiness
5. Human factors evaluations

Cross-Functional Execution:

• Drive alignment and execution across multiple interdependent workstreams including:

Display hardware

1. Testing
2. Software
3. System architecture
4. Track dependencies and proactively close execution gaps.

Hardware & Resource Coordination

• Manage hardware allocation and device availability to unblock validation timelines.

Risk Management & Mitigation

• Continuously assess program risks and drive mitigation plans.
• Maintain a living risk register with owners, impacts, and resolution paths.

Stakeholder Communication

• Communicate program status, validation results, risks, and milestone updates to engineering leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Drive regular reviews and executive summaries.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager in hardware/software co-development programs.
• 3+ years of experience in:

1. Display technology
2. Image processing
3. Algorithm validation
4. Electro-optical systems engineering

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Experience leading complex multi-workstream execution across hardware, firmware, and software teams.
• Experience managing programs with significant hardware dependencies, including:

1. Device allocation
2. Prototype build schedules
3. Test infrastructure coordination

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making experience.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with evolving requirements and tight timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with display compensation algorithms and image quality pipelines.
• Familiarity with display technology testing methodologies.
• Experience managing 0-to-1 consumer device programs from prototype validation through mass production.
• Knowledge of AR/VR/XR display systems, including near-eye display architectures and image quality metrics.
• Big Tech experience preferred.

Must-Have Skills

• 3+ years as a TPM in hardware and software co-development programs.
• 3+ years in display technology, image processing, algorithm validation, or electro-optical systems.
• Strong executive communication, cross-functional collaboration, and ability to work in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Big Tech experience.
• Experience managing 0-to-1 consumer device programs.
• AR/VR/XR near-eye display architecture knowledge.
