Shift Schedule Mon – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Compensation & Benefits Hourly Rate: $42.07 per hour (Union positions set in the Collective Bargaining Agreement with SEIU Local 521; Step 1 rate $42.07/hr, Step 6 rate $46.45/hr). Bi‑Lingual Pay: $135 per paycheck for threshold languages. Defined contribution benefit up to $15,433.08 per year (pro‑rated for part‑time). Retirement plan with 4% employer match after 1 year. Paid time off: up to 25 vacation days, 6 sick days, and 12 paid holidays. Benefit Plan Options: Medical: Kaiser – plans ranging from $0 deductible to $3,400 deductible with Health Savings Account Dental: Guardian – one HMO and two PPO options Vision: Guardian VSP – standard and enhanced plans Principal Duties and Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership in comprehensive assessments, case conferences, treatment plans, and strategic interventions. Act as a lead member of the treatment team; participate in crisis intervention; provide clinical supervision and direct services. Coordinate team services to ensure assessment, crisis intervention, treatment, discharge planning, and communication meet client, family, and payer needs. Offer clinical leadership, training, and guidance to staff, interns, and volunteers. Provide appropriate consultation and backup for client crises. Develop and review documentation, including LPHA signature when required. Deliver treatment services, training, and support to clients individually and in groups; support families and representatives. Interview clients and representatives; conduct strengths assessments and needs analyses. Develop goal‑oriented, time‑limited, comprehensive plans cooperatively with clients or representatives. Facilitate or lead groups through rehabilitation counseling to strengthen life, coping, and independent living skills; develop curricula. Help clients understand problems and develop resolution plans. Maintain regular communication with families and third parties involved in rehabilitation. Coordinate necessary services and make referrals to public and private social services and community agencies. Recommend discharge and follow‑up treatment planning; complete comprehensive reassessments before plan expiration. Maintain timely, accurate clinical records and produce clear reports using paper or computer technology. Provide assessment and intervention during client crises, including follow‑up and appropriate consultation. Assist Program Manager in maintaining compliance with CARF, contracts, agency, and regulatory requirements. Provide transportation for clients or supplies in personal or agency vehicle. Cover on‑call duties and participate in after‑hours rotation. Perform First Aid in emergencies if assigned to residential facilities. Other Duties and Responsibilities Attend staff, program, agency, and community meetings and training as required. Meet continuing education requirements to satisfy regulatory, accreditation, and agency requirements. Participate in management of team/discretionary resources to meet client needs. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Required: E, Desired: D) Master's degree in a mental health profession and one year of experience in human services; Doctorate may substitute (E, D). Eligibility for BBS waiver; must register and obtain waiver within six months of hire (E). Eligibility for registration from BBS as ACSW, APCC, AMFT or from BOP as Registered Psychologist or Psychological Assistant (E). First Aid Certification or completion within 30 days if assigned to residential facilities (E). Meeting education and recertification standards (minimum 20 hours of related training) (E). Typing speed of 30 wpm (E) or 40 wpm (D); computer literacy; proficiency in MS Office and basic Windows databases; familiarity with UNIX databases (D). Demonstrated abilities: Work independently and in a small team (E). Organize and manage a caseload; prioritize tasks (E). Communicate effectively in verbal and written English; legible handwriting (E). Conceptualize and prioritize patient needs; determine services and treatment methods (E). Monitor developmental growth and recovery (E). Facilitate group rehabilitation services (E). Maintain accurate medical charts and client records; prepare reports (E). Act calmly in emergencies; employ tact and diplomacy (E). Work from a strengths‑based, harm‑reduction, social rehabilitation model (E). Work with diverse populations respecting cultural, linguistic, and disability differences (E). Collaborate with individuals identified as having serious mental illness and complex histories (E). Work with high‑risk or under‑represented populations (D). Exhibit exceptional customer service, compassion, and care (E). Work with participants who may have histories of assaultive behavior, long‑term residential care, institutional over‑reliance on emergency services, cognitive or medical fragility, or long‑term homelessness and criminal justice involvement (D). Knowledge areas: Clinical techniques for assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of mental illness; problem resolution and conflict resolution (E). Community resources for non‑mental health needs (E). Mental Health Services Act and Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) (D). Special Requirements: Must obtain criminal records clearance as required by Title XXII and by Momentum practices (E). Valid California Driver License; access to reliable vehicle; proof of auto liability insurance; clean DMV record (E).
