The O&G Group is a cross-product industry vertical.ResponsibilitiesAs an Associate, you will:Prepare, analyze, and help explain historical and projected financial informationCreate financial models and value companies and businessesCoordinate and perform business due diligencePrepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and marketing pitchesLead the planning and execution of marketing engagementsBuild relationships and maintain direct contact with clients and prospective clients, professional advisors, and other stakeholdersSupervise and mentor junior staffRequirements / QualificationsThe environment at Houlihan Lokey is results-driven and entrepreneurial. As such, it rewards top performers with substantial responsibility and interaction with senior-level professionals and clients.The following qualifications/skills are required:A strong academic track record3-4 years of investment banking experience within either an M&A generalist or industry team (preferably Oil & Gas)A solid understanding of the sell-side M&A process, along with proven experience in successfully closing dealsFundamental understanding of financial valuation methodologies and applicationsAdvanced financial modeling and analytical abilities; Strong NAV, DCF, and LBO modeling skillsStrong qualitative and quantitative research skillsUnderstanding of financial statements analysis with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essentialAdvanced knowledge of ExcelIndependent thinker and resourceful problem solverStrong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to multitaskMotivated and demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff in a rapidly changing, demanding, but ultimately rewarding environmentAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environment Compensation and BenefitsHoulihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation.
