Our goal is to meet the highest employer standards by ensuring the health and safety of our employees, protecting the environment and positively impacting our communities where we do business.We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Financial Analyst within our Accounting Department group based in Houston, TX.Key Responsibilities:Preparing monthly accruals and journal entriesPreparing monthly close schedules and variance reportsEnsuring monthly close deadlines and responsibilities are metSupporting the monthly outlook and annual budget processMaintaining and updating financial models to reflect current business conditionsReviewing financial statements and performing account reconciliationsAnalyzing financial statement activity and summarizing for business unit and accounting managementCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial information and policy complianceAssisting with internal and external audit requests, as well as other special projects Helping and coordinating other duties as requiredRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or a related fieldStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlinesAdvanced skills in Microsoft ExcelSelf-motivated with strong work ethicAbility to interpret and present financial data clearlyAttention to detail and high level of accuracyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to work overtime required for monthly closing activitiesDesired Qualifications:Upstream oil and gas experienceSAP and SACOneStreamCPARelocation will not be provided.Recruitment Fraud It has come to our attention various individuals and/or organizations are contacting people falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of Oxy.
