ABOUT THE ROLEThe Financial Analyst III serves as a strategic partner to the IT organization, supporting technology investment planning, cost management, and operational decision-making. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining complex financial models, analyzing technology spend drivers (labor, software, cloud and vendor services), and delivering actionable insights to IT leadership. The analyst partners closely with IT leaders to evaluate business cases, prioritize investments, and ensure alignment between financial plans and enterprise technology strategy. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, the ability to translate financial data into clear insights, and a proactive approach to driving accountability and continuous improvement in financial performance.WHAT YOU WILL DOPartner with IT leadership (e.g., CIO, VPs, Directors) to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-range technology investment plansAnalyze key IT cost drivers, including labor, software licensing, cloud consumption, and managed services, to identify risks and opportunitiesSupport business case development for technology initiatives, including ROI, NPV, and payback analysisProvide financial oversight of vendor spend, including tracking contract commitments, usage, and cost optimization opportunitiesDevelop and enhance reporting that integrates financial and operational KPIs (e.g., cost per ticket, cost per application, cloud unit economics)Drive transparency into IT spend through variance analysis, trend identification, and executive-ready reportingPartner with procurement and IT teams to evaluate vendor proposals, renewals, and sourcing decisionsLead or support financial governance processes for technology investments (prioritization, tracking benefits realization)Identify and implement process improvements to enhance forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and financial visibilityAct as a subject matter expert in technology finance, advising stakeholders on financial implications of strategic decisionsExpectations Demonstrates strong partnership and influencing skills with IT and Finance leadershipTranslates complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholdersOperates with a high degree of ownership, driving accountability for both financial results and process outcomesBalances analytical rigor with speed to support fast-paced technology decision-makingContinuously seeks to improve processes, tools, and financial transparency within the IT organizationA constant example of modeling Crown’s Core Four values.WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEEDEducation QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.MBA preferred in finance or related field of equivalent experience.Experience Qualifications5+ years of relevant work experience.Advanced knowledge in budgeting, forecasting, developing, and working with financial models.Strong understanding of IT cost structures, including software, infrastructure, and vendor services.Experience supporting IT, technology, or shared services organizations preferred.Organizational RelationshipReports to: Director FinanceTitle(s) of direct reports (if applicable): N/AWhere You Will WorkTo optimize collaboration, relationship building, and key stakeholder engagement, this role aligns to a 4:1 hybrid model which is in office Monday-Thursday with the option for remote work on Fridays. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location.
