Finance Team SupportThis position is to support the Finance team with processing payroll and accounts payable.PAYROLLProcess bi-weekly payroll and payment of interns and contractorsAssists in the reconciliation of monthly benefit invoices, research issues, and works with Human Resources to correct the issuesAudit the payroll register to ensure changes were made and payroll is accurate before it is finalizedSubmit employee retirement deductions and employer matching information to 3rd party vendorsManage the garnishment process through Paylocity to ensure correct calculations and complianceVerify changes that flow from the HR system to payroll systemProvide customer service to employees with payroll questionsInterface effectively with payroll approvers in resolving issuesDemonstrate ability to work independently, requiring minimal supervisionACCOUNTS PAYABLEMaintain accounts payable files including the approved vendor list and enter invoices into accounts payable systemEnsures the internal controls with regards to purchase orders and approval limits are followedAssist with the month-end closing processAudit and process credit card billsPoint of contact for department and vendor invoice questionsMaintain system records to process Form 1099 to payeesProvide supporting documentation for auditsOTHER DUTIES:Assists Senior Accountant with cash receipts and invoicing on an as needed basisAssists in the preparation of power point presentations and other board reportingOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSHigh level of integrity and demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional mannerAbility to organize and prioritize challenging demands, and manage time effectivelyDemonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving abilityMust be highly detail oriented with exceptional attention to detailHigh competency level in MS office applicationsMinimum of an associate-level college degree in Accounting or BusinessMinimum 2 years of experience with payroll software; knowledge of Paylocity a PlusMinimum 2 years of experience with accounts payable; knowledge Sage Intacct a PlusPHYSICAL DEMANDSProlonged sitting, ability to lift 15-20 lbs., frequent use of fine motor skills.WORK ENVIRONMENTShare office environmentThis is a full-time position. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday and may require weekends as needed.
