Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a surgical setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a variety of surgical and general nursing procedures, with a focus on patient care and safety. This position requires mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Participate in patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
• Assist with various surgical procedures in the operating room.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations.
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams.
• Respond to emergency situations appropriately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a surgical nursing role.
• Current RN license in New York.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; CNOR preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is strongly preferred.
• Experience in ortho-total joint, trauma, neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, thoracic surgical procedures is desired.
