RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work alternating shifts of 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM throughout the week depending on daily staffing needs
• May be scheduled for different shift times within the same week
• Block scheduling available but not guaranteed
• Call required
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Must wear teal scrubs
• 3 years of OR experience required
• Travel experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Must have New York license in hand to submit
• Candidates within 75 miles of facility not accepted
• Floating required
• EPIC experience is a hard requirement
• Required certifications: BLS, CNOR
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement required
• Experience needed in orthopedic total joint and trauma, neurology, GYN/urology, vascular, and thoracic procedures
• Extensive skill set required including general OR, bariatric procedures, vascular repairs, thoracic surgeries, ENT procedures, general surgery, gynecological procedures, spinal fusions, orthopedic procedures, plastic surgery, podiatry, urology procedures, and Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
• Must be competent in code response, fire safety, latex allergy protocols, blood product administration, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, and universal protocol procedures
• 14 beds in unit with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
• Up to 5 billable hours for pre-start modules (total module time may reach 10 hours with excess being non-billable)

This comprehensive medical center operates a diverse 14-bed operating room suite that handles a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedic procedures, neurosurgery, gynecological and urological cases, vascular surgery, and thoracic procedures. The facility is equipped with advanced surgical technology including the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and maintains strict safety protocols for laser and radiation procedures. The organization provides extensive interdisciplinary support services to ensure optimal patient outcomes and surgical efficiency.
