Join the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) as a management-level professional leading efforts to improve healthcare quality and regulatory compliance across more than 1,050 healthcare providers statewide. Minimum Qualifications

Five years of experience in administrative services; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in administrative services; OR An advanced degree plus one year of experience in administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Monitors and evaluates complaints, incidents, and compliance data for healthcare providers statewide to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations and identify opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Oversees the intake, tracking, and analysis of complaints and incidents received through the statewide complaint workstation for long-term care and non-long-term care programs.
  • Conducts complex research and analysis of programmatic operations, gathers additional information as needed, and prepares reports, findings, and recommendations for management.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on Health Standards Section processes and regulations, independently responding to inquiries and providing technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with Information Technology staff to support the design, maintenance, monitoring, and enhancement of complaint tracking systems and reporting tools.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with healthcare providers, agency staff, and external partners to support compliance initiatives and operational effectiveness.
  • Analyzes operational challenges, assesses the impact of process changes, and participates in planning, meetings, and quality improvement activities to develop and implement effective solutions.

Preferred Experience:

  • Strong background in LDH/HSS databases and regulatory requirements;
  • Proficient with data mining and analysis;
  • Extensive experience with LDH/HSS programmatic operations and processes;
  • Keen ability to conduct multifaceted analysis and inquiry;
  • Experience with healthcare quality; and
  • Knowledge of LDH/HSS and Medicare guidelines for programs and policies.
