Qualifications: Master’s Degree from an accredited university required Three (3) years’ experience in program administration and supervision of professional personnel Two (2) years’ experience in a special education leadership role Two (2) years’ experience leading diverse work teams and conducting program evaluation research Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Oklahoma teaching certificate in Special Education Extensive knowledge of student referral, evaluation, and identification processes Experience working with children and youth in a special education setting; urban or multicultural education experience preferred Proficiency in theories and principles of learning and evaluation; knowledge of special education laws and principles Ability to resolve logistical and operational problems related to special education service delivery Knowledge of state and federal special education laws Understanding of special education programs Familiarity with the district’s mission, goals, programs, facilities, and personnel Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Office Suites Bilingual in Spanish preferred About Our District: At Tulsa Public Schools, our mission is to inspire and prepare every student to love learning, achieve ambitious goals, and contribute positively to our world.
