Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Shreveport, LA | High-Risk Delivery & NICU Support

Shift: 12-hour night shift (7p-7a)

Hours/Week: 36-48 hours

Employment Type: Travel / Contract

License/Certs: LA State Licensure, BLS, NRP (ACLS & PALS preferred)

Experience: 2+ years in respiratory therapy, high-risk delivery support preferred

Hourly Rate: $70.35

What You'll Do

  • Provide respiratory care for patients in ICU, NICU, PICU, ER, and Med/Tele units across multiple campuses
  • Attend high-risk deliveries, including neonate intubation and airway management
  • Manage ventilators and administer inhaled medications, including nitric oxide
  • Support critical care activities such as ABG analysis, rapid response, and code Blue scenarios
  • Operate advanced respiratory equipment including Servo U, Trilogy, Vapotherm, and NICU oscillators
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care during complex procedures
  • Support neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients within Level 3 NICU/PICU and high-risk delivery areas

What You Need

  • LA State Licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT accepted)
  • BLS certification required; NRP preferred, ACLS/PALS benefits
  • Minimum of 2 years of RT experience, comfort with high-risk deliveries and NICU/PICU support
  • Proficiency with ventilator management, airway management, ABG interpretation
  • Ability to support neonates, including intubation and inhaled medication administration
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to float between four campuses in Shreveport

About the Assignment This position involves providing respiratory support across multiple busy campuses in Shreveport, primarily focusing on high-risk deliveries, NICU, and PICU care. The RTs will work with a multidisciplinary team, supporting critical and neonatal care in a fast-paced environment. The facility offers a collaborative atmosphere dedicated to patient safety and excellence.
