Head of Marketing

C8 Health | Reports to CEO | Full-time About C8 Health C8 Health is a care consistency platform working with 150+ hospitals to streamline access to clinical best practices and drive adherence to quality standards. Care inconsistency costs the healthcare system an estimated $350B annually - we're building the platform that closes that gap. We're Series A, growing fast, and building out the team to match. This is a chance to build the marketing function at a company where the product is already proven with some of the most respected health systems in the country. The Role We're hiring a Head of Marketing to lead the function that will drive our next phase of growth. You'll own two things: the pipeline that fuels our sales team, and the brand narrative and positioning that makes C8 Health the obvious category leader in care consistency. You'll manage and scale a team spanning product marketing, demand generation, content marketing, and BDRs. This role reports directly to the CEO and will work closely with sales, product, and customer success leadership. To be direct about what we need: We need a leader who sets the strategy and is genuinely energized by getting into the work themselves. What You'll Do Lead, and grow the team. Manage and develop product marketing, demand generation, content marketing, and BDR functions. Hire where there are gaps. Set the marketing strategy - and execute it. Build the annual/quarterly marketing plan Report on what matters. Establish scalable processes, operational rigor,. KPIs, and reporting cadence that connect marketing activity to pipeline and revenue outcomes, and bring that narrative to the leadership team and board. Partner cross-functionally. Work closely with sales on messaging, collateral, and account-based strategies for target health systems; work with product on launch and positioning; work with customer success on expansion and reference programs. Build the pipeline engine. Own pipeline generation end-to-end - demand gen strategy, campaigns, conferences & field events, BDR management, and the systems to measure and improve funnel performance. Own positioning and narrative. Sharpen how we talk about C8 Health in a crowded healthcare IT market - our category, our ROI story - and make sure it shows up consistently across the team. Tie marketing to the financial story. Own marketing's contribution to CAC, payback, sales efficiency, and net revenue retention, instrumenting the funnel so growth is repeatable and defensible. What We're Looking For 8+ years in B2B marketing, with meaningful time in an early-stage company (Series A through C) - you know what marketing looks like before there's a big budget or a big team. Track record of building and scaling pipeline generation programs, ideally including direct BDR management. Experience leading and developing a multi-function marketing team.Hands-on experience with modern marketing automation and CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, Webflow, etc.) and applying AI tools across the marketing funnel. A demonstrated bias toward doing, not just directing — you can point to specific campaigns, copy, or programs you personally built, not just ones you managed. Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable operating at the executive level and setting narrative/positioning for a company. Comfortable with ambiguity and the pace of a scaling startup. Strong analytical mindset, with experience leveraging data, attribution, and experimentation to drive decision-making. Nice to have: Experience in healthcare SaaS or health tech, particularly selling into hospitals or health systems.
