Project Accountant New York,NY, US 6927142 Job Description Experience Mid Level Salary $80,000 - $95,000 per year Job Details --------- The Project Accountant will play an important role in managing project billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, and related accounting activities. This position works closely with project managers, clients, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely billing while maintaining organized and accurate project records. Key Responsibilities Set up and maintain projects within Deltek Vantagepoint Prepare and process a high volume of client invoices Work with project managers and clients on billing requests, proposals, contracts, and fee reviews Review and process employee expense reports Review and process subconsultant invoices Ensure all billable items are accurately recorded and billed Submit invoices to clients and maintain supporting documentation Research and resolve billing discrepancies Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments Review and issue lien waivers, purchase orders, and related documentation Maintain organized electronic accounting records Respond to client and internal accounting inquiries Provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred 2+ years of accounting and/or billing experience Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills Experience with project accounting, billing, or expense reporting preferred Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or Vision is required Professional services, construction, or engineering accounting experience is a plus A bit about us Our client is an established, highly respected professional services firm specializing in structural engineering and consulting for complex, high-profile projects.
