Recruiter & HR Assistant Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Salary: $50,000 – $65,000/Year Valor Protection Safety Agency Hybrid – Remote/In Office – Atlanta, GA Position Summary: The Recruiter & HR Assistant plays a vital role in advancing the workforce strategy of Valor Protection Safety Agency. This position supports the end-to-end recruitment process, onboarding, personnel administration, compliance documentation, and HR operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, integrity, and a proactive approach to sourcing strong talent for a premium, high-performance security agency. The Recruiter & HR Assistant will be a frontline representative of the organization’s values—excellence, integrity, professionalism, education, dependability, and accountability—ensuring every candidate and employee interaction reflects the agency’s high standards. Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Source, screen, and qualify applicants for Safety Officer and supervisory positions. Conduct initial interviews and coordinate second-stage interviews with Hiring Managers. Maintain active job postings across job boards, social platforms, and industry networks. Build and manage candidate pipelines for high-volume hiring cycles. Coordinate background checks, employment verifications, fitness test scheduling, and license/credential verification. Attend job fairs, community events, and recruiting partnerships to increase applicant flow. Onboarding & New Hire Support: Prepare and process new hire documentation, including I-9s, W-4s, direct deposit forms, and internal onboarding packets. Ensure all new hires complete training requirements, certifications, and compliance documents. Monitor onboarding progress and follow up on missing documents or incomplete steps. Coordinate new hire orientation schedules, welcome communication, and Day-1 readiness. HR Administration & Support: Assist with maintaining accurate employee files (digital and physical) and ensure compliance with organizational standards. Support HR-related communications such as policy updates, reminders, and scheduling notices. Support the HR team with payroll documentation collection, PTO tracking, and employee status changes. Draft HR letters, memos, and internal communications as assigned. Assist with preparing reports, tracking KPIs, and ensuring data accuracy within HR systems. Employee Relations & Engagement Support: Serve as a professional, accessible point of contact for employee questions regarding onboarding, documentation, policies, and HR processes. Schedule meetings between staff, supervisors, and HR leadership when needed. Participate in HR initiatives, training sessions, and special projects to support organizational growth and culture. Compliance & Record Keeping: Ensure all hiring and HR processes align with federal, state, and agency standards (EEO, FLSA, FMLA, I-9 compliance, etc.). Track certification expirations (CPR, security licensing, fitness testing recertifications). Maintain secure and confidential handling of all HR data. Qualifications: Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred. 1–3 years of experience in recruiting or human resources strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment. Proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office, HRIS platforms, and online recruiting tools. Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity in all HR matters. Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-through abilities.
