Job Description

Responsibilities

Provide the delivery of culturally sensitive, age-specific team-based care models in delivering nursing care for Primary Care patients including, adult medicine, pediatric, and OB/GYN patient populations at Briarwood Family Medicine, Briarwood Medical Group, Saline Health Center, & Taubman General Medicine Clinic ACUs. Perform phone triage, including assessment, screening, clinical advice, nurse visits (in person/ video visit) in-clinic hands on procedures, and other duties assigned. Accurate and efficient documentation of nursing care. Knowledge and appropriate use of internal and external resources. Provide functional supervision to assistive personnel; collaborate with colleagues, other disciplines, and health care/community services to promote continuity of care.

• Willingness to adapt to different populations ie: pediatrics, OB/GYN, adult medicine as patient demands. Orientation and training would be provided for new subspecialties within primary care based on expansion of division.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Michigan RN license
• Three (3) yrs. (out of the last 7 years) of RN experience in Adult Internal Medicine (to include Adult Inpatient, or Emergency Services, or Ambulatory Care Medicine Adult)
• And one of the following: One (1) year of OB/Gyn RN experience in Ambulatory Care, Labor and Delivery -OR- One (1) year of Pediatric RN experience.

• Certification in Ambulatory Nursing
• Ambulatory Phone Triage experience

• Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour
• Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour

• Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour
• Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

Salary & Nursing Framework Level: This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C. Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire. Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.

Work Schedule

• Hours/Week: 40 Hours
• Shift/Hours/Days: Day Shift; Mon-Fri, (variable hours).
• Hours may be variable (nontraditional including weekends/holidays) based on clinic/patient/volume needs due to patient and volume demands.
• Location: Briarwood Family Medicine, Briarwood Medical Group, Saline Health Center, & Taubman General Medicine Clinic with the potential to work in other locations with the expansion of the division.

NOTE: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
