The Company

Our client is a rapidly growing, institutionally backed infrastructure platform focused on developing and owning critical renewable energy assets that support the evolving needs of large electricity consumers.

Led by an experienced executive team with deep expertise across commercial strategy, finance, development, engineering, and operations, the business has reached an exciting stage of growth and is making a significant investment in expanding its commercial capabilities.

The Opportunity

The role will focus on developing relationships with some of the market's largest and fastest-growing electricity consumers, including hyperscale cloud providers, AI and digital infrastructure companies, data center developers and operators, advanced manufacturers, and other organizations making significant long-term investments in power infrastructure.

Working directly with executive leadership, this individual will play a leading role in shaping a new area of the business while owning opportunities from initial engagement through commercial agreement and execution.

This position offers significant autonomy, visibility, and the opportunity to build a business rather than simply inherit one.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and own relationships with hyperscalers, AI and digital infrastructure companies, data center developers, and other large energy users.
• Originate, structure, negotiate, and close long-term commercial agreements for complex energy infrastructure projects.
• Lead opportunities from initial customer engagement through internal investment approval and commercial execution.
• Work closely with finance, engineering, development, legal, and executive leadership to deliver commercially attractive solutions.
• Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline of strategic opportunities while identifying new markets and customer segments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of business development, commercial origination, or strategic partnerships experience within energy, infrastructure, digital infrastructure, or related industries.
• Demonstrated success winning and closing complex commercial transactions with large enterprise customers.
• Existing relationships with hyperscalers, data center operators, large industrial customers, utilities, or other major energy users are highly desirable.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to understand project economics and negotiate sophisticated commercial agreements.
• Comfortable leading complex opportunities across multiple internal stakeholders with minimal supervision.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the credibility to engage senior executives and build long-term commercial partnerships.
