Desktop Support Specialist

Main Responsibilities Unbox, stage, configure, image, and deploy desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, and other endpoint devices supporting a new ambulatory healthcare facility. Configure Windows 11 devices and ensure all systems are deployment ready prior to go‑live. Complete workstation setups including monitors, docking stations, peripherals, cable management, and connectivity validation. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues during deployment activities and provide break/fix support when necessary. Assist with inventory tracking, asset management, device verification, and equipment auditing throughout the project lifecycle. Work closely with healthcare staff, clinicians, and business users to ensure successful workstation deployment and user readiness. Document deployment activities and elevate unresolved technical issues to appropriate support teams. Provide go‑live support and post‑deployment assistance to ensure a seamless transition into production. Support day‑to‑day desktop support activities following go‑live as needed. Required Skills Strong experience with desktop deployments, imaging, and workstation setup. Knowledge of Windows11 operating systems and deployment methodologies. Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills. Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a healthcare environment. Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clinical and non‑clinical staff. Experience supporting end users in enterprise environments. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while collaborating with project teams. Bachelor's degree required. Ideally 2‑4 years of desktop support, deployment, field service, or end‑user support experience. Proficiency with Office365, Outlook, tickets, and technical support tools. Knowledge of hardware, imaging, and deployment processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Positive attitude and team‑first mentality. Experience working in healthcare environments preferred. Previous deployment, migration, or large‑scale refresh project experience preferred. Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed during deployment activities. Comfortable working in both warehouse/staging and healthcare site environments. Experience Level: Intermediate Level Job Type & Location: Contract position based out of Brooklyn, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
