- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Job Summary
A busy and well-established orthotic and prosthetic medical practice is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Front Desk / Patient Services Representative for its Owosso location. This position supports a high-volume clinic (20–35 patients per day) and plays a critical role in patient experience, insurance processes, and front-office operations.
The selected candidate will complete two weeks of training at the Bay City location , with reimbursed mileage , before transitioning to the Owosso office.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients professionally and efficiently
- Answer phones and assist patients with general inquiries
- Verify, enter, and maintain accurate patient demographic information
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations/precertifications
- Quote and collect patient payments, including co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance
- Schedule and manage patient appointments
- Update patient records within the EMR system
- Provide general administrative and front office support
- Cross-train in patient check-out and prior authorization functions
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical office front desk experience
- Minimum 2 years of EMR/electronic medical record system experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience with medical terminology
- Proven experience verifying insurance coverage
- Strong computer proficiency and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an orthotic and prosthetic medical office (preferred/bonus)
- Familiarity with OPIE EMR
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.50 - $18.00/hr.
