Software Engineer - Java/Spring Boot/Kafka

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 3 years of applied experience
• Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Proficiency in Java
• Experience with Spring Boot and Kubernetes
• Ability to use enterprise-authorized AI coding assistants and software development lifecycle tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, productivity, and automation; validate outputs through peer review, testing, and secure coding practices
• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, ECS, or S3
• Preferred: Experience with Cassandra or other NoSQL technologies, and familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark, Scala, or HDFS
• Preferred: Familiarity with modern infrastructure and architecture, including cloud, virtualization, and object stores

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, taking creative approaches to resolve technical challenges
• Write secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that integrate with relevant systems
• Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring software development meets design constraints
• Analyze large and diverse datasets and develop visualizations and reports to support ongoing improvements to applications and systems
• Identify hidden issues and patterns in data, using insights to improve coding practices and system architecture
• Participate in software engineering communities and events focused on emerging technologies
• Share learnings and reusable practices that improve team effectiveness
