(USA) Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary We are expanding our workforce and looking for a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional team. This role involves executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart stores, equipment, or fixtures under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager. Key Responsibilities Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets by utilizing multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs. Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders to support stores and store associates and document repair activities. Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls. Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely. Qualifications 18 years or older. High school diploma or equivalent. Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time. Can move up and down ladders frequently. Comfortable working at heights frequently. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Able to work in variable temperatures. Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report. Vocational or technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade. Minimum Qualifications Vocational or technical certification and 3 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade, or 5 years’ experience in those trades. Valid driver’s license. Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Preferred Qualifications Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program. License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located. Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Benefits and Perks Competitive compensation. Compensation Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, level of job offer, qualifications and other job‑related factors. Additional bonus is available for this role and will be disclosed during the interview process. Hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $42.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
