Location - Renton, WA Overview Speech therapists create plans to help people improve their swallowing, thinking, and speaking skills, as well as to reduce the risk of choking. These plans can include methods that not only help the person express themselves more clearly but also help them understand what others are saying. The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for leading and managing speech and hearing services in the facility, following all local, state, and federal rules and guidelines to provide the right care for residents. Responsibilities Lead and manage speech and hearing services within the facility in accordance with applicable rules and guidelines to ensure high-quality resident care. Requirements to become a Speech-Language Pathologist A valid license to practice in your state. Education that meets the requirements for your license. A valid driver\'s license. Knowledge about the rules and guidelines for skilled nursing homes and long-term care.
