Job Position Summary: You are responsible to create computer numerically controlled (CNC) programs to be used for automating machinists’ tools by using computer generated electronic data

You must have:

• High School Diploma or GED, an associate degree or higher in related field preferred
• 3+ years of experience programming CNC Machines.
• Experience with CNC Mill multi-axis programming.
• CAD/CAM experience in NX preferred.
• Experience in the Aerospace Manufacturing industry to include Aerospace standards and specifications.
• Working knowledge of CNC machining techniques and materials.
• Advance Analytical skills to gather, process and interpret data to solve problems and make decisions.
• The ability to interpret blueprints and knowledge of GD&T
• The ability to choose and/or design correct tooling and apply speeds and feeds based on process and materials.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Process Engineering Experience preferred
• The ability to identify and investigate root causes and solve manufacturing and machining problems.
• The ability to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
• The ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.

In your role you will:

• Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required.
• Select tooling and tool path in software to create program operations.
• Check completed programs using Vericut software.
• Create Tooling and Setup Sheets.
• Analyze and solve tool and program related issues on floor.
• Review and Modify existing Programs/Processes and Setup times for Continuous Improvement.
• Maintains a clean organized work area.

Working Conditions :

• Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts.
• May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses.
• May have to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required.
• Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
