IT Service Technician

Summary Cosm is looking for experienced IT specialists who have worked in live entertainment or hospitality environments. The ideal candidate will prioritize customer service, be organized, motivated, proactive, and help ensure that venue operations run smoothly. The role involves maintaining, supporting, and operating all technologies that support critical venue operations. Responsibilities Provide on‑site first response to all IT‑related technical systems and hardware. Maintain and troubleshoot networks, hardware, and software, including but not limited to Point‑of‑Sale, kiosks, ticketing systems, kitchen display systems, wireless connectivity, desktops, laptops, networking equipment, media servers, IP TV systems, A/V systems, and consoles. Interact with primary display technology (Digistar) to conduct operational and functional checks of the show system and equipment. Read drawings, technical schematics, diagrams, and checklists. Conduct operational and functional checks of show systems and equipment. Communicate and collaborate with internal and external partners. Record, track, and document the help‑desk request problem‑solving process, including all decisions made. Respond to requests via text, email, or radio. Work with engineers to test fixes and ensure the problem has been adequately resolved. Experience and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency certificate; an associate's or bachelor's degree in a technical field is a plus. Preferred certifications: CHTP, A+, MCP, MCSE/MCSA, Network+, or related. 3+ years of experience in entertainment, production, or hospitality. Experience working with macOS, iOS, Windows, and VMware environments. Experience troubleshooting and supporting mobile devices. Experience administering computers, servers, networks, SaaS services, and other technical systems. Familiarity with IT security systems, procedures, and policies. Knowledge of entertainment venue operations, including A/V, F&B, and ticketing. Self‑directed and able to collaborate on a team. Excellent written, verbal, and phone communication skills focused on customer service. Strong creative and innovative problem‑solving skills. Available for overtime and weekends; flexibility is required and the schedule varies with site operational needs. Must be able to work during live productions, tolerate loud noise levels, and function in busy non‑office environments. Can maneuver around an entertainment venue, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat, stretch, and has finger dexterity to operate office equipment. Comfortable lifting heavy objects up to 25 lbs.
