Front Office Hosts are responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. You'll be the face of Hyatt as a Front Office Host. If you have worked at other Hotels as a front desk clerk or you have an interest in hotel clerk jobs, we'd love to hear from you!

  Responsibilities include:

• · Answer multi-line phones in a courteous, professional manner

• · Create new reservations either in person, via email or by telephone

• · Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key.

• · Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in.

• · Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet their requests, hotel standards and accommodate any special client needs

• · Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.

• · Research and resolve disputed charges for guests.

• · Follow up with guest regarding satisfaction with guest-related issues.

• · Process all checkouts including resolving any late and disputed charges. Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.

• · Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy

• · Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks. Balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications.

• · Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.

• · Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

Wage Information:

The salary range for this position is $24.00 to $31.20. The starting hourly rate is $24.00. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications and education.
