Columbus offers the energy of a vibrant city with convenient amenities, a welcoming community, and plenty to enjoy on your time off.Travel Nurse Job Details\n \n Specialty: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse\n Setting: 12-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit\n Location: Columbus, OH\n Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Contract Length: 16 weeks\n Shift: 12-hour nights\n Schedule: 3 shifts per week\n Hours per Week: 36\n Patient Ratio: 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends\n Orientation: 72 hours\n Population: Adults and geriatrics\n Work Environment: Supportive interdisciplinary team with access to IV therapy, respiratory services, social services, radiology, pharmacy, transportation, and rapid response support\n Registered Nurse Requirements\n \n Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience required\n Recent Med/Surg Tele or comparable acute care experience strongly preferred\n Active compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission\n BLS required\n ACLS preferred/required per unit needs\n Epic experience required\n Strong experience interpreting dysrhythmias and managing telemetry patients\n Experience with IV starts, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway support\n Comfort working with patients experiencing serious illness, pain, nausea, fatigue, and other complex symptoms\n Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program\n Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities\n \n Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients with serious, life-limiting illnesses\n Monitor telemetry, assess for rhythm changes, and respond appropriately to patient needs\n Support symptom management, including pain relief, nausea control, and comfort-focused interventions\n Administer medications and therapies according to plan of care and unit standards\n Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic\n Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote dignity, comfort, and quality of life\n Float to equivalent or lower-acuity units as needed\n Perform standard medical-surgical nursing duties, including IV management, phlebotomy support, and patient education\n Help create a calm, supportive environment for patients and families during challenging moments\n \n Apply now to join this Columbus, OH healthcare travel nursing opportunity and take the next step in your Med/Surg Tele RN career.
